Locked
Woven Pattern Collection for Office Furniture
This collection of four patterns are inspired by ornate Victorian locks and keys and is intended for home office and library furniture.

The color palette for this collection was picked from a specific array of colors that were obtainable with the jacquard loom. The warp yarns of the fabric are black and white and the four weft yarn colors used are hacienda, heirloom, sky, and auburn. Only these color yarns were used in the fabric with different weaving structures to allow for better color visibility.

End Uses

These are texture mapped images with my patterns showcasing their intended use.
These images of products were found on Google.
Alternate Colorway
This is the same collection of patterns in an alternate colorway inspired by Disney's Alice in Wonderland for children's furniture.
Process

Motifs were first sketched out on paper and then scanned into the computer. The scanned document was then taken into Photoshop where it was traced and colored. The motifs were then taken into Kaledo Print to make patterns. The colors were chosen from the weave blanket pictured above.

The repeating patterns were made in Kaledo Print. Once they were made, the file was taken into EAT to weave on a jacquard loom. In the software, all of the colors were officially assigned a weave pattern from the blanket of sample weave designs.
The designs were woven at 100 ppi. After all were woven, I changed two of the background colors to show more variation.
